How will I know if I am registered if I mail in my registration form?
You can safely assume your registration form and check made it to the Commissioner and that you are registered for the draft. Certainly, your cancelled check is proof that you are registered if you registered well before any of the deadlines. If you mail your registration form and it gets a postmark after April 26th, however, you are *not* registered, and your check will either be shredded or mailed back to you (upon special request).

How will I know what team I’m on and when will I know that before the games start?
It is the responsibility of the Drafting Captain to contact each and every one of their players as soon after the draft as practical to let them know they have been placed. It is also the responsibility of that Captain to let his or her teammates know when (what time) their first game is. The schedule is usually available to the Captains at draft, and the game schedule will be posted to the DSUL website shortly after the draft occurs.

What if its raining? Are the games cancelled or postponed?
Games are never cancelled. Games will, however, be postponed on a minute-by-minute basis in case of lightning in the immediate vicinity. By ‘immediate vicinity’, that means if there is lightning within 5 miles or thereabouts, the clock still runs, but players are encouraged to follow their instincts and do the right thing. However, for every minute of postponement, that’s just that many minutes less of play for that particular game. Bear in mind that lightning cells do move on and play can usually resume within a few minutes at the most.

Is there a Lost and Found?
No. Items that end up being left on the sidelines are usually carried to the sidewalk and placed close to where the League trailer is usually parked, then left there. However, water bottles are thrown away in the nearest trash can to where they were originally found.

What if I’m planning on being away on vacation and will miss some games?
It is understood that players may not be able to make each and every game during the summer months. There should be enough other players on your team to take up that slack.

What is "Spirit of the Game"?
Ultimate is known for its "Spirit of the Game", often abbreviated SOTG. The following description is from the official ultimate rules established by the Ultimate Players Association:
“ Ultimate has traditionally relied upon a spirit of sportsmanship which places the responsibility for fair play on the player. Highly competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of the bond of mutual respect between players, adherence to the agreed upon rules of the game, or the basic joy of play. Protection of these vital elements serves to eliminate adverse conduct from the Ultimate field. Such actions as taunting of opposing players, dangerous aggression, intentional fouling, or other 'win-at-all-costs' behavior are contrary to the spirit of the game and must be avoided by all players. ”
Many tournaments give awards for the most spirited team, as voted for by all the teams taking part in the tournament. This honor, sometimes called the Spirit Award, is highly regarded.

What exactly is Ultimate Frisbee?
Ultimate Frisbee in 10 simple rules:
The Field -- A rectangular shape with endzones at each end. A regulation field is 70 yards by 40 yards, with endzones 25 yards deep.
Initiate Play -- Each point begins with both teams lining up on the front of their respective endzone line. The defense throws ("pulls") the disc to the offense. A regulation game has seven players per team.
Scoring -- Each time the offense completes a pass in the defense's endzone, the offense scores a point. Play is initiated after each score.
Movement of the Disc -- The disc may be advanced in any direction by completing a pass to a teammate. Players may not run with the disc. The person with the disc ("thrower") has ten seconds to throw the disc. The defender guarding the thrower ("marker") counts out the stall count.
Change of possession -- When a pass in not completed (e.g. out of bounds, drop, block, interception), the defense immediately takes possession of the disc and becomes the offense.
Substitutions -- Players not in the game may replace players in the game after a score and during an injury timeout.
Non-contact -- No physical contact is allowed between players. Picks and screens are also prohibited. A foul occurs when contact is made.
Fouls -- When a player initiates contact on another player a foul occurs. When a foul disrupts possession, the play resumes as if the possession was retained. If the player committing the foul disagrees with the foul call, the play is redone.
Self-Refereeing -- Players are responsible for their own foul and line calls. Players resolve their own disputes.
Spirit of the Game -- Ultimate stresses sportsmanship and fair play. Competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of respect between players, adherence to the rules, and the basic joy of play.
